Chilli Children

SPRNG PRAYER LETTER

The Chilli Children Trust works to provide Hope, Healing and Opportunity to children in Uganda. This threefold vision unites our communication as each part is vital to our activities in the region. 2022 is a year of recovery and new growth for our organisation and the world as whole. We look forward to seeing what God has planned for all of us going forward.

Hope

Rejoice in the hope that the Rehab Centre brings to so many parents and children as they come to seek emotional, social and spiritual support. Pray that all who step into the Centre this year will leave strengthened and encouraged.

Pray for families who are lacking hope as a result of social and financial challenges that come with a child who has a disability. May God strengthen them, and grant them fresh hope, courage and provision. Pray that the staff are able to support and encourage them during field clinics.

Pray for our Trustees and volunteers. Thank God for their commitment and dedication to the task. Ask God for guidance and courage for the trustees as they make decisions, sometimes difficult ones.

Healing

Pray for all the children who will be travelling to different hospitals across Uganda over the coming months. Pray for provision and safety in travel.

Pray for the doctors and other medical staff who work tirelessly to operate on and heal the chilli children, especially from CoRSU Hospital, CURE Hospital and Kisiizi Hospital.

Thank God for the healing of hundreds of children thanks to the support of the Chilli Children Trust and its donors. Praise Him for changed and transformed lives. Pray also for the families of children who have sadly passed away recently. Pray for comfort and peace for them.

Pray for families and children whose treatments were missed or postponed as a result of covid/lockdowns. May they be able to catch up on all that was lost or missed.

Thank God for the joy and

friendship that Kitazigurukwa Special Needs Unit brings to its precious children. Thank Him for a successful Term 1 2022 and  for times of fun and fellowship shared between Project staff and the children during the end of term lunch. Pray for the children as they break for holidays, that they may be safe and cared for in their respective homes.

Opportunity

Praise God that the project ambulance gives the opportunity to many children to attend their neurological reviews in Mbarara every 2 months. This is such an important time for children to be assessed, reviewed, and receive vital, life saving medications.

Thank God for the opportunities that are opened to families through successful chilli harvests. We are encouraged by the increased trade price and the motivation of our growers to grow and sell more chillis. Pray for another great year for chilli growing.

Ask God to give the Project more opportunities to be able to distribute special equipment for children across south western Uganda. Equipment which is life changing for both children and caregivers who are able to get some much needed respite.

Thank God for Marie-Christine Glancy  as she completed her cycle ride from John O’Groats to Lands End in April. Thank God that her travels were safe and efforts have been rewarded through generous giving. It was great that she was able to meet with Brian Fleming, Trust chairman, en route!
