From a Trustee Emily, who is living and working in Rukungiri at the moment:

This is North, she is 15 years old and she suffers from epilepsy.

During a fit when she was younger, she fell into some boiling porridge, causing severe burns to her left hand and ‘post burn contracture’. To the left is her a couple of months ago at the Project’s hostel in Rukungiri town, preparing to travel to CORSU for surgery (to release the post burn contracture and give her a skin graft).  To the right is when she visited where I stay last week, having completed successful surgery.

She is now back at CORSU (travelled on Thursday) for assessment and for the next stage in the treatment process.

We pray and are confident that her hand will one day be fully functioning again
