Our Promise
Chilli Children is committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring the personal information you have entrusted to us is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. How we collect personal information and why
We collect personal, information directly from you when you make the decision to support the Chilli Children Trust and make either one off or regular donations. We collect your personal information

- to reclaim tax on Gift Aid on donations if applicable
- to keep you updated about our work. Please see marketing permissions.
- to fundraise more efficiently
The information that we collect
- personal identifiers such as title, name and date of birth
- contact details including postal address, post code, e mail and telephone number
- financial information such as your bank details
- whether you are a UK tax payer
- records of your contacts with us
Marketing Permissions
We love sharing news with you about the Chilli Children Project in Rukungiri is progressing, how your support is helping to change the lives of children and their families for the better in Jesus name.
This includes sending you information about their work, events, special appeals, information on volunteering and prayer requests.

We do not share information with third parties. However we may come under a duty to disclose your information where required in order to comply with any legal obligation.
How long we keep the information
We will keep your data for as long as it is required and in accordance with the law. For example HMRC require that we keep a record of your name, address and Gift Aid Declaration for 6 years from the date of your last donation. When the information is no longer required we will make sure that it is disposed of in a safe and secure manner.
If you have told us that you do not wish to hear from us in the future, we will keep the minimum information necessary to ensure we avoid contacting you any further.
Your information rights and choices
The Data Protection Act gives you the right
- to request in writing and securely obtain copies of the information that Chilli Children Trust holds about you
